4-3 Breakdown. Empty
PostSubject: 4-3 Breakdown.   4-3 Breakdown. I_icon_minitimeSat Mar 13, 2010 2:55 pm

4-3 Over: Strong Slant 3 - Nano

Setup

1. Reblitz LDE, LDT and RDT
2. Reblitz MLB and place him between LDT and RDT (off of the LOS)
3. Reblitz LOLB and place him on the LOS next to the LDE

Take control of the FS on the yellow zone.

Overview

This is a great nano play that will bring instant heat through the A-gap. If the opponent decides to pinch the line to avoid the A-gap pressure, you have the LOLB coming hard off the edge which will result in a sack.

4-3 Over: Smoke Mid Zone (Flipped) - Nano

Setup

1. Flip play at play call screen
2. Reblitz RDE and RDT
3. Reblitz MLB and place him on right hip on RDE
4. Reblitz LOLB and place him on left hip of LDT

Take control of the FS on the yellow zone and patrol the middle of field.

Overview

Once again, this nano will bring you opponent to tears. It’s a 5 man rush that has mid to deep levels of the field fully secured. The pressure will come from the A-gap, and you will notice that the LOLB will come through the line untouched.

46 Normal: Inside Blitz – Under Center Nano

Setup

***This Nano only performs well when the opponent is lined up under center***

Optional: Call Bump and Run before setup

1. Pinch line and reblitz LDT
2. Reblitz MLB and place him in between LDE and LDT
3. Place the blitzing ROLB directly behind the LDT (on his back)

Overview

This is the true definition of the word nano. The blitzing ROLB will be in the quarterbacks grill so fast, it won’t even seem as if he snapped the ball. Don’t worry, if the ROLB gets picked up, the NT will come untouched and bring the QB down.

46 Normal: Cover 3 – Nano

Setup

1. Put the LDE on contain and reblitz the rest of the line
2. Blitz ROLB (who is originally on a yellow zone) and place him on the LOS in between the RDE and RDT
3. Control the SS who is on the light blue zone. Put him on a yellow zone and patrol the right side of the field

Overview

This play is extremely effective when your opponent needs 10-15 yards on say 3rd or 4th down. This play gives your opponent two seconds max to get the ball out. The RDE will come through the line untouched to bring down the QB.

46 Bear: Sam Snake – Nano

Setup

Optional: Call Bump and Run before the snap

1. Pinch line
2. Reblitz DT (lined up directly over the center) and reblitz the LB who is already blitzing
3. Place blitzing LB in between RDT and RDE

Overview

This is crazy A-gap pressure brought by the ROLB. It is only a 5 man rush. You also have the FS back to control the zone, since it is a man coverage blitz. Patrol Mid to Deep parts of the field.

Nickel Normal: Over Storm Brave – Nano

Setup

Optional: Call Bump and Run before the snap

1. Pinch line and reblitz the two DTs
2. Reblitz left LB (he is blitzing already/ left on screen) and place him on the LOS in between the two DTs (directly over the center)
3. Reblitz right LB and place him on right hip of RDT

Overview

This nano is very hard for the opponent to figure out and stop. You have the two DTs pinched and blitzing straight down with the left LB rushing the middle also. This makes the RG have to help out the center which leaves the B-gap open for the right LB to come on right through untouched.

Nickel 3-3-5: 3 Man Under – F@G Defense

Setup

1. Call Bump and Run
2. Crash line out
3. Put MLB on yellow zone, and make the two OLBs go on purple zones

Play as the MLB and patrol the middle of the field.

Overview

In my opinion, this is the most paramount “F@G” Defense in Madden NFL 10. The Bump and Run always gives your opponent problems, and on top of that, we have the middle and outsides of the field completely secured. The 3 man rush will get to the QB relatively quick, he will not have all day to just sit in the pocket and wait for someone to get open.

Dime Flat: DB Dogs – Nano

Setup

Optional: Call Bump and Run before snap

1. Spread line. Put RDE (right on screen) on contain, and reblitz rest of line
2. Place left blitzing DB on the LOS next to the LDE (left on screen)
3. Take control of right blitzing DB, put him on yellow zone and cover middle of field

Overview

Great pressure will come from the left side, and you have the right side covered (since we have the end on contain). So basically if the QB stays in the pocket he will be sacked within two seconds, and if he tries scrambling out to the right, the end will come off contain and bring the heat.

46 Bear: Buzz Weak – Nano

Setup

1. Reblitz the DT over the center and the RDE
2. Shift the linebackers to the right
3. Place the MLB between the 2 linemen you re-blitzed
(Optional) Put your right cornerback in a purple zone

Overview

This is a great nano to bring pressure when your opponent is in shotgun or under center. Your Linebacker shoots right through the offensive line for an easy sack.

46 Bear: Safety Fire – Nano

Setup

1. Call Bump and Run Coverage
2. Re-blitz the defensive Tackle directly over the center
3. Bring the blitzing FS down and place him over the DT (behind the DT in front of the nose guard)

Overview

Easiest nano to set up by far, and is extremely effective. The FS will come through the A-gap untouched for the quick sack.

Dollar: Max Sting 3

Setup

1. Reblitz Dt
2. Slide line right and spread linebackers
3. Man align (Triangle/Y- right)
4. Put the LDE in a purple zone
5. Put the RDE in a yellow zone
6. Bump and Run
7. Manually rush with the blitzing cornerback on the left of your screen

Overview

This is a great coverage play with good pressure to go along with it. If your opponent is in a 3rd and 8-12 situation, this is a great play to run. This play especially takes a long time to set up, so practice it in practice mode. Once you get it down, it will be easy and you will be able to set it up in under 5 seconds.

Extra Information

Turbo Blitz

Press Y/triangle, then hold down RT/R2 and down on both joysticks, when the ball is hiked release the right joystick and rush the quarterback.

Delayed Bump and Run

Come out in a zone. Bump and run (triangle or y down). Then audible to a man play. You will notice your corners back up. When your opponent snaps it, his wide receivers won’t get jammed right away, they will take a step or 2, and then get jammed. This techn**ue really throws off your opponents timing.

Quarter Combo: Man Up Three Deep (End of Half/Game)

Setup

1. Package in Linebacker Pass rush
2. Back up your secondary
3. Spread your defensive line

Overview

When you don’t want to get beat, A common mistake made by many madden playe irss calling prevent defense. Prevent defense can get burned for touchdowns easily. When there is 5 seconds left and you are up by a touchdown and your opponent is 35 or more yards out ALWAYS call this play. You will never get burnt.
